Albany man arrested for armed robberies
Travis Watson was transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
ALBANY, Ga. – Around 8:30 p.m. On Friday, April 28th, Albany Police officers responded to armed robberies at the Papa John’s located at 1703 East Oglethorpe Boulevard and a Homerun Foods at 1621 East Oglethorpe Boulevard within a short timeframe of one another.
Once officers responded to the incidents, they spotted the offender, 34-year-old Travis Watson, fleeing the area. Watson was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.
He was transported to the Dougherty County Jail on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of firearm during the commission of a crime.
