Albany Humane Society’s Giving Tree drive for “PAW-liday” season

ALBANY, Ga. – Over in the Good Life City, the giving season is for more than just the people in your life, as the Albany Humane Society is holding a pair of fundraisers for the pets as well.

The humane society is opening up their PAW-liday giving.

With a goal of ten thousand dollars that the shelter will match, the money will be going towards supplies the shelter can use.

They will also be holding their giving tree fundraiser, encouraging donations of new or gently used pet supplies to be used at the humane society.

Director, Payton Jarrell, met with us to talk about giving back to our four legged friends this month.

“People can go in, they can donate items like dog food, whether that be dry dog food or wet; they can donate cat food. They can donate things like used towels and linens. Of course, we could always use things cleaning supplies like bleach, Dawn dish soap, dish detergent, laundry detergent, and of course, any old things that you don’t use for your pets anymore. Like maybe they have some old bowls or old beds that they no longer want to use…” said Payton Jarrell, Director, Albany Humane Society.

If you are interested in donating, you can find out more here.
