Albany-Dougherty County invites community input for 2046 Comprehensive Plan
ALBANY, Ga. – Residents have another opportunity to help shape the future of Albany and Dougherty County during the second public meeting for the Comprehensive Plan 2046, set for Monday, November 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Robert Cross Park Facility, located at 2660 Newcastle Lane in Albany.
The Comprehensive Plan 2046 is a long-range strategy designed to guide growth and development in the community through the year 2046. It focuses on key priorities such as housing, transportation, infrastructure, parks, and historic preservation, all anchored in the region’s cultural, economic, and natural assets. City officials say the final plan will reflect community values and provide a practical, inclusive roadmap for the area’s future, ensuring that growth happens with purpose, balance, and vision.
Community participation plays a central role in shaping the plan. Attendees will have a chance to review previous public feedback, take part in interactive activities, and help set priorities for future goals and actions that will influence how the region grows over the next two decades.
Those unable to attend in person can still make their voices heard by submitting comments or questions online at albanydougherty2046plan.com.
