Albany Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Small Business Program
ALBANY, Ga. – The summer is at its peak, and the Albany Convention and Visitor’s Bureau wants to encourage people to get out and support local businesses through their new program.
Albany Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Executive Director, Rashelle Minix says they’re partnering with some of the major destinations in the city…
Like the Museum of Art and Chehaw to name a couple.
“…Visit Albany decided to come up with a 2024 Summer Passport, to give not only our visitors, but locals the opportunity to go and do something fun. Go to all of our attractions. Have one shopping, dining, and event experience here in Albany,” said Rashelle Minix, Executive Director, Albany Convention & Visitor’s Bureau.
But… of course it isn’t just limited to the major destinations that the bureau is encouraging people to go out and visit…
As they want to guide people to go spend their money at local businesses of all kinds in the city.
“So, one of our primary jobs is to get people out and about. Show them where they can go in Albany to create economic impact. And, sending people to our local businesses give that opportunity to make the cash registers ring, and really promote our businesses and attractions,” said Minix.
And… if the prospect of getting out to support local businesses isn’t enough, the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has another way to incentivize the Passport Program.
“This is a great, fun way to experience Albany, all of the attractions we have, but also get something back in return with our cool prize pack. And, then have the opportunity to win a much larger prize pack,” said Minix.
The program will run through the end of August, and the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is encouraging everyone to come in and grab a passport.
Rashelle tells us the drawing for the larger prize pack will take place in September.
Passports can be picked up at the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau on North Front Street.
