Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau selects Kasey Summerville as sole finalist for President & CEO
ALBANY, Ga. – (September 10, 2025) – The Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced Kasey L. Summerville as the sole finalist for the President and CEO position. The announcement was made today by Johnny Seabrooks, Chair of the Albany Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Summerville brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in destination marketing, community engagement, and executive management. She currently serves as President of Summerville Enterprises, a consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing development, event strategy, and nonprofit board advisement.
Previously, Summerville held multiple leadership roles with the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau, including Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Community Engagement; Senior Director of Tax Revenue; and Director of National Accounts. In these roles, she developed and implemented long-term marketing strategies, launched city-wide tourism campaigns, negotiated major event contracts, and built strong partnerships with community stakeholders.
Her career also includes 15 years as the elected Tax Assessor for Clark County, Arkansas, where she focused on fair property assessments, community outreach, and public transparency.
“We are excited to welcome Kasey to Albany,” said Seabrooks. “Her proven track record in tourism leadership and community collaboration will be invaluable as we continue to grow Albany as a premier travel and events destination. I believe she is the right professional to build on the solid foundation already in place at Visit Albany.”
Summerville holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University, a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Philander Smith University, and the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) credential from Destinations International.
A search committee was appointed earlier this year to identify candidates for the position. In addition to Seabrooks, others serving on the committee included Victor Landry, Albany Civic Center; Linda Davis, Holiday Inn Express; Terrell Jacobs, Albany City Manager; Derron King, Dougherty County Administrator; Nicole Williams, Albany Area Arts Council; Juwan Wilson, M&M Mars; and Andrew Wulf, Albany Museum of Art.
According to Georgia law, Summerville’s application materials must be available for public review for at least 14 days before the board may take final action on her appointment. Materials will be available in the Dougherty County Attorney’s office. When approved, she is expected to begin her tenure in Albany the first week of October.
The Chason Group, an executive search firm specializing in Destination Marketing Organizations and other nonprofit senior leadership positions, assisted Visit Albany in managing the executive search process.
