Albany Chamber of Commerce celebrates 113th annual meeting
The annual meeting starts at 7 o'clock this evening.
ALBANY, Ga. – As Small Business Week rolls on in the Good Life City, the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is preparing to say thank you to many small business owners at this evening’s annual meeting.
Chamber of Commerce President Barbara Rivera-Holmes says that the 113th annual meeting is about celebrating the best and brightest shining businesses in Albany.
“…We pull together our full membership, we celebrate the accomplishments of the previous year. We lay out how the Albany Area Chamber will continue to support businesses in the new year. And we honor some of our community’s most outstanding public servants,” said Barbara Rivera-Holmes, President, Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.
Festivities for the event include honoring this year’s lifetime service award recipient as well as the young professional of the year.
To most this is a major event on the calendar….
But to the Chamber of Commerce, it’s just another day…
“We thank our members every day. Part of the annual meeting here at the bricks on Thronateeska is a very special kind of thank you where we really celebrate our work together throughout the year to move businesses of all sizes forward. And most importantly is our part to move the community forward,” she said.
And when Holmes says businesses of all sizes…
She really does mean of all sizes in the city.
“We focus on all of our members every day. Small businesses, medium sized, large businesses as well. During Small Business Week, it’s just a great opportunity to remind the community of the value, importance, and the impact of small businesses in the community,” she said.
No matter the size of the business, the Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to celebrating those who keep the Good Life City humming.
The annual meeting starts at 7 o’clock this evening.
