Albany Area Chamber’s Albany Under 40 Awards
ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce (AACC) rolls out the red carpet for the region’s brightest leaders under 40.
Residents gathered at the Albany Museum of Art (AMA) to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of outstanding young professionals in the Albany area.
“Tonight, we’re honoring over 40 individuals under the age of 40, for excelling in their career and also what they contribute back to this community,” said Lisa Stephens, Albany Chamber Talent Catalyst Committee Chairperson.
Nominees were selected from a diverse range of industries, including construction, youth and education, health and wellness, as well as personal service sectors such as insurance, banking, and finance, among others.
“There are over eight categories. They’re all kind of spread out depending on what sector the individuals come from. And, as far as the process goes, applicants had to be first nominated to be considered. Once nominated, they then had to go through a rigorous application process and then through a panel, a selection from local business people decided on who these finalists were. So, tonight, we’ll be honoring the top four finalists in each of those eight categories with the overall winner being announced next spring at our annual meeting,” said Stephens.
This award ceremony stands as a testament to the contributions of these leaders, whose efforts are actively shaping the future of the region.
“So, it’s very important not only that we honor and recognize those individuals or that young talent that’s in our community, but we’re also really focused on retaining the young professionals in this community. So, that’s one of the ways that Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is investing in that talent pipeline,” said Stephens.
