Adel former funeral director charged with multiple child pornography offenses
ADEL, Ga. – News Release from the Adel Police Department
The Adel Police Department announces the arrest of Stanley Todd Henderson, 55, of Adel, Georgia, on multiple felony charges related to child pornography and other serious offenses. Henderson was apprehended in Lawrenceville, Georgia, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, following a multi-agency investigation.
The investigation began on June 16, 2025, when the Adel Police Department received information that Henderson was operating a funeral home at 201 E. Fourth St., Adel, without a valid city business license or the required professional credentials.
A search warrant was executed at the location, leading to the seizure of multiple electronic devices. Forensic analysis conducted by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office uncovered several pornographic images and videos of an underage male on a device.
With assistance from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Investigators identified Henderson’s vehicle and utilized the FLOCK camera database to locate him in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Officers from the Lawrenceville Police Department arrested Henderson without incident.
Henderson is currently being held at the Cook County Jail on the following charges, with additional charges pending:
• Felony Computer Pornography (2 counts)
• Felony Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes (2 counts)
• Felony Child Molestation (1 count)
• Felony Aggravated Sexual Battery (2 counts)
• Felony Trafficking of Persons for Labor or Sexual Servitude (1 count)
• Misd. Engaging in a Funeral Business without required compliance (1 count)
Adel Police Chief Audie Rowe expressed gratitude to the agencies and individuals involved in the case, stating, “This case was very complex and was put together with the help of many dedicated agencies and individuals.”
The investigation involved collaboration with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the Alapaha Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, Turner County Sheriff’s Office, Lawrenceville Police Department, Clayton County Police Department, Child’s Advocacy Center of Valdosta, and the Secretary of State’s Special Licensing Board Division.
