A community in shock…
Many are still reeling after Thursday's shooting
MOULTRIE, Ga. – The incident started early Thursday morning when 26-year-old Kentavious White allegedly shot and killed his 50-year-old mother, Susie Arnold. White then went next door to shoot his 74-year-old grandmother, Hilda Marshall.
White proceeded to the McDonald’s in the 500 block of First Avenue where he shot who many believe to be his former manager, 41-year-old Amia Smith, before shooting himself inside the building.
We spoke with many members of the Moultrie community Friday, and while plenty of people we talked to did not wish to go on camera, one woman who wished not to be identified lives just a few blocks down from White’s home.
She says that while she didn’t know White or any of the people allegedly killed by him, she spoke about how awful the situation is in the city.
“Somebody said something like the boy shot his mama and his grandma. I’m like, oh Lord. But, my thoughts on that is like that was messed up, but prayers to the people that passed during that crazy thing that just happened,” said a member of the Moultrie community.
No funeral plans have been announced at this time for the victims involved.
