Southga Weather

Additional rounds of rain and thunderstorms are likely for the rest of the week.

The next round arrives early this morning with generally light to occasionally heavy rainfall. Severe weather is not expected.

Another round may arrive Friday morning as the stationary boundary begins to retreat to the north as a warm front.

Then, the final round of activity will be the heaviest, and has the greatest severe weather potential late Friday evening-early Saturday morning.

The main threats are damaging winds, large hail, and not ruling out isolated tornadoes.

Locally heavy rainfall with minor flooding of streets is possible. Additional rainfall totals of 1″-3″ will be possible with a few locations receiving over 4″.

Old Man Winter returns with blustery north-northwesterly winds on Saturday. Wind gusts could be as high as 30 to 40 mph.

A Widespread Killing Freeze is likely Sunday morning in the mid-20s with wind chills as low as around 20.
