Tifton community members invited to attend Short & Paulk Renaissance Project Community Input Session tomorrow

TIFTON, Ga. – If you’ve ever had ideas about what you’d like to see in downtown Tifton, tomorrow night is your chance to be heard. The city is hosting a community input session for the Short & Paulk Renaissance Project on Tuesday, February 17, at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at the former Short & Paulk site, 910 Main Street South.

The Short & Paulk Renaissance Project is a major downtown redevelopment initiative, aiming to transform the 9.7-acre former Short & Paulk Supply property into a community-focused space designed with public input in mind. The planning process is being led by UGA’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

City leaders are encouraging residents, business owners, families, and students to attend and share their visions for Tifton’s downtown future. The session is open to the public, and pre-registration is optional.

For those unable to attend in person, the city is still welcoming input. Ideas can be submitted by calling 229-391-3996 or emailing Caroline Abbott at cabbott@tiftonga.gov.

This is a chance for the community to help shape a landmark project that could play a major role in Tifton’s growth and downtown revitalization.
