Georgia Chamber hosted Business Prospects for the 37th Annual Georgia Quail Hunt in Albany
Albany, Ga. — Last week, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce hosted its 37th Annual Georgia Quail Hunt, a premier statewide recruitment initiative designed to showcase the economic advantages of doing business in Georgia. The event took place on February 4–6 in the Albany area, but the event’s impact and vision extended far beyond Southwest Georgia, with a continued focus on attracting investment, creating jobs, and building partnerships that benefit communities across the entire state.
Since its inception in 1994, the Georgia Quail Hunt has become one of the state’s most effective economic development recruitment events, with participating companies contributing billions of dollars in economic activity and generating thousands of jobs statewide. This year’s event brought together influential business leaders, economic developers, and state officials, all united in promoting Georgia’s competitive business climate and long-term economic growth.
Notable attendees for the 37th Annual Georgia Quail Hunt included Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp, along with senior state and business leaders, reinforcing strong statewide support for initiatives that drive business expansion and economic opportunity throughout Georgia.
Throughout the three-day event, attendees participated in a series of immersive experiences designed to highlight Georgia’s diverse economic landscape, demonstrating how the state’s favorable tax environment, robust transportation infrastructure, and highly skilled talent pool continue to serve as key drivers of economic success.
Reflecting on the event’s significance, Chris Clark emphasized its statewide impact: “The 37th Annual Georgia Quail Hunt successfully connected business prospects with key decision-makers and state leaders, reinforcing Georgia’s position as the nation’s premier destination for business. This event continues to demonstrate our commitment to driving economic prosperity across the state. As always, I extend my sincere thanks to Locate South Georgia, the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission, the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, and all the local volunteers for their invaluable partnership and commitment to excellence.”
Local and regional collaboration remains central to the event’s success, with partners across economic development, education, and the business community working together to present a unified message around opportunity in Georgia.
“The Georgia Quail Hunt is a powerful opportunity to tell Albany’s story — not just through presentations, but through personal connection,” said Matt Reed, President & CEO of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce. “When business leaders experience our community firsthand, they see the collaboration, talent, and momentum that make Albany a compelling place to invest and grow. We’re proud to help welcome prospects and showcase everything Southwest Georgia has to offer.”
“The Georgia Quail Hunt reflects the strength of partnership across our region and across our state,” said Jana Dyke, President & CEO of the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission. “By working together, we’re able to demonstrate our readiness for investment and highlight the workforce, infrastructure, and quality of life that make Southwest Georgia competitive.”
