Hootenanny brings live folk music and dancing to the Turner Center for the Arts in Valdosta

VALDOSTA, Ga. – If you’re in the mood for toe-tapping tunes, lively dance, and a touch of cultural flair, the Turner Center for the Arts has just the event for you. Hootenanny is set for Sunday, February 1, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Turner Center, located at 527 North Patterson Street in Valdosta.

This spirited evening will feature traditional American and Celtic folk music and dance, headlined by internationally acclaimed performers Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly. The award-winning duo is known for their rich vocal harmonies, impressive range of instruments, and energetic Appalachian-style clog dancing. Their performances often include guitar, mandolin, banjo, dulcimer, tin whistle, harmonica, and even some unexpected musical surprises.

Adding to the excitement, special guests The Valdosta Tappers will take the stage with a foot-clapping dance performance.

Tickets are $10 per person, and guests can enjoy a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres during the event.
