Newly elected Cordele City Commissioners sworn in at ceremony Tuesday

CORDELE, Ga. – The City of Cordele held its swearing in ceremony in front of Cordele City Hall for newly elected Cordele City Commissioners on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

This included the swearing in of 3 newly elected commissioners then convened in the courtroom for the organizational meeting.

• Commissioner Bernard Fenn – Ward 2
• Commissioner George Singletary – Ward 3
• Commissioner Joe Joe Wright – At Large
• Honorable Mayor Wesley Rainey
• Honorable Mayor Pro Tem Vesta Beal Shephard
