20th Annual Combos® Marathon and Half Marathon seeking volunteers for March 7 race

January 7, 2026
Matthew Crumley,

ALBANY, Ga. – Volunteers are needed for the 20th Annual Albany Marathon and Half Marathon on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Volunteers can sign up directly online here: https://runsignup.com/Race/Volunteer/GA/Albany/SNICKERSMarathon, in person at the Albany Welcome Center or by emailing Katie Jenkins at marathon@visitalbanyga.com. Descriptions of what is entailed for each position are provided on the volunteer forms. Responsibilities are available until the spots are filled.

Road Marshals are especially needed at strategic intersections throughout the city to guide runners along the route, prevent traffic turning into the course, and to be cheerleaders, creating energy and enthusiasm for those working to achieve their personal best.

“The Combos® Marathon continues to highlight the very best of Albany,” said Kasey L. Summerville, President & CEO for Visit Albany. “Our volunteers, partners, and residents make this event more than a race — they make it a celebration of our city’s pride, hospitality, and unwavering spirit.”

Volunteering with the Combos® Marathon is a great opportunity for school groups, church groups, families, and other organizations to get involved with one of the community’s largest events. Each volunteer will receive a T-shirt, Combos® and free entry to the Downtown Street Festival.

For more information about volunteering with the Combos® Marathon email Katie Jenkins at marathon@visitalbanyga.com or call 229-317-4760.
