SPARKS, Ga. – Judge orders involuntary evaluation of woman who allegedly shot at officers
On Monday afternoon, December 29, 2025, Cook County Judge Chase Daughtrey signed an order for an involuntary evaluation of an alleged mental health subject, 46 year old female, after the subject allegedly shot at law enforcement attempting to serve a warrant at an address on Sycamore Street in Sparks. The petition for evaluation and the court order are under seal pursuant to state law. More information about the incident will be forthcoming from law enforcement.
According to the Sparks Police Department, a woman was arrested at about 3:05 p.m. after she reportedly barricaded herself inside of a residence at Fox Run Mobile Home Park in Sparks.
Sparks Police said the woman fired shots, but that the police did not return fire and no one was injured.
The woman who’s identity has not been released at this time has been taken to the Cook County Jail.
At about 2:35 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29th reports came in of shots being fired at the mobile home park.
Law enforcement reportedly surrounded the residence, where the initial incident occurred.
