Arrest made in Robbery by Sudden Snatching

ALBANY, Ga. – On December 23, 2025, around 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a report of a Robbery by Sudden Snatching in the 1100 block of Newton Road.
The victim, a 49-year-old female, reported that her firearm, a Taurus G2 9mm handgun, was taken during the incident. Later that morning, officers located the suspect at a residence in the 600 block of S. Van Buren Street. The suspect, Jamie Martin (20), was taken into custody.
During the investigation, officers recovered the victim’s property from inside the residence. Based on the evidence obtained, the suspect was charged accordingly.
The suspect was transported to the Dougherty County Jail and charged with Robbery by Sudden Snatching.
