Valdosta Police arrest two teens for allegedly robbery and killing a man

VALDOSTA, Ga. – On December 19, 2025, at 4:50 p.m., several citizens called E911 to report a shooting in the 1300 block of Baymeadows Drive. One of the citizens reported that someone was lying on the ground.

Valdosta Police Officers arrived on the scene and found Jordan Warren, 35, with a gunshot wound to his chest. Officers immediately began life-saving measures until Valdosta Fire Fighters and South Georgia Medical Center Emergency Medical Services arrived. Warren was transported to South Georgia Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Valdosta Police Department Detectives, Crime Scene Personnel, and Officers immediately began searching the area for witnesses and evidence. Surveillance video was quickly obtained from several residences, which showed two subjects running from the shooting. Following the evidence and information received from witnesses, the offenders were tracked to a residence in the 1500 block of Baymeadows Drive. Officers and Detectives contacted the residents at the house.

There were two teenagers located in the house that matched the description of the two subjects seen running from the shooting: Jeremiah Albritton, 18, and a 16-year-old
juvenile male. They were detained and taken to the Valdosta Police Department.

While speaking with witnesses, detectives obtained information that the two males had approached the victim with a firearm and grabbed a backpack-style bag from him. As the victim pulled away from the offenders, he also produced a firearm. Multiple gunshots were heard by witnesses, and the victim was shot once in the chest.

Members of the Valdosta Police Department K9 Unit responded and conducted a track through the area. During their track through a wooded area, the K9s located evidence that appears to be part of the robbery. Detectives executed a search warrant on the offenders’ residence, locating additional evidence connecting them to the shooting.

Both Albritton and the 16-year-old juvenile have been charged with felony murder (felony), aggravated assault (felony), armed robbery (felony), and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (felony).
Albritton was taken to Lowndes County Jail, while the juvenile was detained at a Regional Youth Detention Center.

The victim will be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The case is still under investigation.
