Victim of fatal Thanksgiving Day crash on Liberty Expressway identified
ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on November 27, 2025, at approximately 11:57 p.m. in the 500 block of Liberty Expressway. A Kia traveling eastbound left the roadway and struck a tree, where the vehicle came to rest and subsequently caught fire.
The driver, a 33-year-old male, was identified and later succumbed to his injuries. This incident remains under active investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Albany Police Department at 229-431-2100 or 229-854-6170.
