Colquitt Co. man arrested and charged in connection to child molestation case
MOULTRIE, Ga. – November 3, 2025: On Thursday, October 30, 2025, the GBI was requested by the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office to assist in a child molestation investigation involving a juvenile victim.
During the investigation, it was determined that the victim was known to the alleged offender. Lee Roy Baillargeon, 33, was arrested on November 3rd, 2025, around 10:50 a.m., at an Old Camilla Hwy., Moultrie, Georgia, address. Baillargeon has been charged with 3 counts of child molestation, and one count criminal attempt to commit rape. The alleged offenses occurred between March 6th and August 12th, 2025, in Colquitt County, Georgia. He was transported to the Colquitt County Jail where he was booked on the above charges.
This case is active and ongoing and anyone with information on this case is asked to call the GBI Thomasville Office at 229-225-4090. Once complete, it will be turned over to the Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review.
