GSW hosts 12th Annual Empty Bowls Event to benefit Harvest of Hope Food Pantry in Americus
AMERICUS, Ga. – Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) and the GSW College of Arts & Sciences are hosting the 12th Annual Empty Bowls Event on Saturday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harvest of Hope Food Pantry, 604 McGarrah Street, Americus.
For a minimum donation of $25, attendees will receive a handmade ceramic bowl along with a soup voucher from one of several local restaurants. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Harvest of Hope Food Pantry, with additional support going to GSW’s Ceramics Program.
The event will feature approximately 200 unique bowls and other ceramic pieces, all created by local artists and GSW students. It’s a great opportunity to support local art, help families in need, and take home a one-of-a-kind piece.
