Georgia Rivers hosts Paddle Georgia Fall Float on the Flint on Oct. 10-12

NEWTON, Ga. – If you’re looking for a fall adventure that combines stunning scenery, wildlife, and a bit of outdoor challenge, the annual Paddle Georgia Fall Float on the Flint is calling your name. The popular paddling trip returns October 10-12, taking participants on a two-day, 36-mile canoe and kayak journey down one of Georgia’s most beautiful waterways, the Lower Flint River, from Rocky Bend Flint River Retreat in Newton to the backwaters of Lake Seminole.

Along the way, paddlers will navigate shoal-filled stretches, pass towering limestone bluffs, explore crystal-clear springs, and spot abundant wildlife, with opportunities to see ancient fossils embedded in the riverbanks.

The experience includes more than just paddling. Participants can enjoy catered meals, guided tours, educational programs, and evening camp activities, making it both an adventure and an opportunity to learn about the region’s rich natural history.

Registration ranges from $205 to $355 and covers meals, campsites, river guides, maps, and more. Spots are limited, so early registration is recommended.
