17-year-old arrested in connection to July homicide
ALBANY, Ga. – On September 24, 2025, officers arrested Dy’kerrius Patterson (17), who was 16 at the time of the incident, in connection with a homicide that occurred in July 2025 in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue. Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, officers located Patterson, who was apprehended without incident.
In addition, Deoyonshay Patterson (34) and Tayheisha Ford (36) were both charged with Hindering the Apprehension of a Criminal.
The Albany Police Department (APD) remains committed to pursuing justice for the victim and their family.
