Camilla Police, GA DPH, SW Health District, NHTSA to offer car seat safety checks

CAMILLA, Ga. – Families in Camilla can ensure their children are properly secured with a free car seat safety check this Saturday. The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon in the Mitchell County Health Department parking lot at 88 West Oakland Avenue.

Nationally certified car seat technicians will be on hand to inspect and adjust car seats, answer questions, and provide tips for safe travel. The event is sponsored by the Camilla Police Department and the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), Southwest Health District, with support from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

This is a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to make sure their little ones are traveling safely, and the event is free and open to everyone.
