Dougherty County State Court recognized for Clearance Rate Excellence

ALBANY, Ga.– The Judicial Council’s Standing Committee on Judicial Workload Assessment has recognized Dougherty County State Court as a recipient of the Clearance Rate Excellence Award.

Clearance rates are calculated by dividing the number of disposed cases by the number of filed cases for a given time period and expressing the result as a percentage. The award is based on rates from calendar years 2022 through 2024.

Dougherty County State Court achieved a clearance rate of 103.44 percent for Calendar Year 2024, demonstrating its ability to resolve cases in a timely manner. The court is one of only 14 counties in Georgia to receive this recognition.

The recognition underscores Dougherty County’s commitment to upholding judicial efficiency and timely case resolution, a standard that strengthens public confidence in the local court system.
