The Arc of Southwest Georgia “Meals with a Mission, Inclusive Kitchen: Southern Gourmet Showdown” to benefit House of Hope
ALBANY, Ga. – The Arc of Southwest Georgia is inviting the community to come hungry and leave inspired at this year’s “Meals with a Mission, Inclusive Kitchen: Southern Gourmet Showdown.”
The event takes place Thursday, September 18th from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Chehaw Creekside Center, 105 Chehaw Park Road in Albany.
Guests will enjoy an evening filled with delicious food, live music, an open bar, and a silent auction, all while watching local chefs face off in a southern-style cooking competition.
This year’s fundraiser carries a special mission: raising up to $100,000 to renovate the House of Hope, a home originally dedicated by Christopher Reeve in 1999. The project aims to transform the house into a modern group home for individuals with disabilities.
Organizers say the night will be about more than good food; it’s a chance to “help save Superman’s house” and support inclusive living in Southwest Georgia.
Tickets are available online at mealswithamission2025.eventbrite.com or by calling 229-888-6852.
