Lowndes County DUI Court Recovery Walk to support National Recovery Month set for this Friday
VALDOSTA, Ga. – The community is invited to gather at the Historic Lowndes County Courthouse on Friday, September 12, for the Lowndes County DUI Court Recovery Walk. The event begins at 10 a.m. and runs until noon.
Hosted by Redirect Counseling Services and the Lowndes County DUI Court, the walk is part of National Recovery Month, a nationwide effort to raise awareness about recovery, resilience, and second chances. The program will include a short ceremony, a community walk around the courthouse, and informational tables offering resources from local organizations.
Among the featured speakers is Laci Rankhorn, founder of Redirect Counseling Services, who will share her personal message of hope and resilience.
The Recovery Walk is free and open to the public, with no registration required. It’s an opportunity for neighbors, families, and friends to come together in support of recovery, celebrate progress, and stand alongside those on the journey to a better future.
Groups interested in securing a vendor table must register online to participate. For more details, contact Shelby Yates at 229-232-3743.
