Crisp County Schools announces “There’s No Place Like Homecoming” parade and festivities

CRISP Co., Ga. – Crisp County Schools is excited to unveil the lineup for this year’s Homecoming parade and festivities, themed “There’s No Place Like Homecoming.” This year’s parade will feature 30 different organizations, including the Cordele Police Department, Adams Drug Store, and the Crisp County Football team. Our very own Superintendent, Dr. Brandon Williams, will be driving our “Literacy Bus.” Parade participants will begin lining up on Thursday, September 11, at 4:15 p.m. at the Crisp County Pre-K/ELC on Hickory Street, with the parade officially rolling through at 5:00 p.m.

Immediately following the parade, the community is invited to join the Pop-Up Market featuring over 10 local vendors. The market will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Football Stadium Parking Lot, with vendor setup starting at 4:00 p.m. Attendees can enjoy live music from a DJ, food trucks, and a bounce house while supporting the Crisp County High School Student Council, which will receive all proceeds from the event. The event also includes an open football practice and a team meet-and-greet with signed autographs.

The Crisp County Cougars will be hitting the field on Friday, September 12, as they take on the Dougherty County Trojans. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the Cougar Den, where the 2025 Homecoming Queen will be crowned.
