One suspect in custody, one at large in relation to entering autos in Tifton
TIFTON, Ga. – Tifton Police Department has successfully identified two suspects in relation to multiple entering auto cases that took place in the last weeks of August and first week of September 2025.
Over the previous weeks, Tifton PD received an increased number of entering auto reports. Reports originated from vehicles parked on Belmont Ave, Old Ocilla Rd, and Tift Ave N.
Upon investigation, canvassing, and review of video surveillance, Tifton Detectives were able to identify two individuals.
As a result of investigation, Tifton PD arrested Eugene King, 35, of Tifton. King is charged with:
(3) Counts – O.C.G.A. § 16-8-18, ‘Entering Auto,’ the criminal offense of unlawfully entering a motor vehicle with the intent to commit a theft or another felony therein
(1) Count – Party to a crime Entering Auto
(1) Count – O.C.G.A. § 16-9-33, Financial Transaction Card Fraud
Tifton PD has identified a second suspect in relation to the crimes who is currently still at large. At this time, an arrest warrant has been made for this individual.
Tifton PD reminds citizens to hide valuables from sight in parked vehicles, lock vehicle doors, stay vigilant, and report suspicious activity. Together with Tifton PD, citizens can help keep Tifton safe.
