City of Valdosta and Lowndes County Public Works Departments partner to host free Scrap Tire Recycling Event

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The City of Valdosta and Lowndes County Public Works Departments are once again joining forces to help residents safely dispose of old tires.

The Scrap Tire Recycling Event will take place Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 19, with drop-off available weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lowndes County Public Works Facility at 550 Gil Harbin Industrial Boulevard.

This event is free of charge and open to all city and county residents. Each household can bring up to 200 car or small truck tires, provided they are removed from the rims. Please note that business tires, semi-truck tires, and tractor tires will not be accepted.
