Drug Epidemic Overdose Awareness Tea Light Memorial Service to be held at Fulwood Park in Tifton
TIFTON, Ga. – The Tifton community will come together this weekend for a special memorial service honoring the lives lost to the ongoing drug epidemic.
The event, hosted by The Defy. Rebuild. Overcome. Conquer. (DROC) Project, will be held Saturday, August 30th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fulwood Park on Prince Avenue.
The evening will feature a tealight candle ceremony, tribute displays, and the reading of names, providing a space for family, friends, and neighbors to reflect, remember, and support one another.
The gathering is about more than remembrance, it also represents hope and healing. The DROC Project works to provide resources for individuals struggling with substance use while helping fund counseling services that support recovery and mental wellness.
Community members are encouraged to attend and stand in solidarity with those impacted by addiction.
