Families for a CURE Car Wash & Bake Sale to support Childhood Cancer Awareness

August 28, 2025
Matthew Crumley,

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – This Saturday, August 30th, Families for a CURE is inviting the community to a car wash and bake sale to support Cure Childhood Cancer and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2566 East Pinetree Boulevard in Thomasville.

Attendees can enjoy a car wash, homemade baked goods, raffle tickets, crafts, and ice-cold lemonade, all while contributing to the fight against childhood cancer. Students from the TCCHS baseball team will assist with car wash duties, but organizers say volunteers are still needed at other work stations.

Organizers encourage community members to get involved, whether by attending the event or lending a hand. Those interested in volunteering can sign up online at the link below or contact Sharon Johnson at 229-403-8225.
