ASU to hold ribbon cutting ceremonies on new Dr. Portia Holmes Shields Early Learning Center and Residential Hall 7
ALBANY, Ga. – Albany State University (ASU) is celebrating two major milestones with back-to-back ribbon cutting ceremonies this week.
On Wednesday, ASU will unveil the new Dr. Portia Holmes Shields Early Learning Center at 10 a.m., followed by a ceremony for a new Residential Hall 7 at 11. The Early Learning Center, named in honor of ASU’s first female president, will provide affordable childcare while also serving as a training hub for future educators and healthcare professionals.
The new Residential Hall will house junior and senior honors students and is designed to promote community and school spirit.
Both events will take place on the University’s East Campus and the public is invited to attend. Parking is available in the Quarterback Club parking lot near Lovett Hall.
