VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Valdosta Police Department (VPD) is bringing back its powerful S.A.Y.V.E. Initiative, that’s “Stand Against Youth Violence Education”, for a second year.
From July 7th through July 11th, teens ages 13 to 16 can take part in this free week-long program, running 8 a.m. to noon at the City Hall Annex Multipurpose Room. Led by VPD officers and local partners, teens will learn about bullying, gang activity, conflict resolution, firearm safety, and the power of mentorship, all while building trust with law enforcement. Breakfast and lunch are included, and free rides are available through Valdosta On-Demand.
Spots are limited. To sign up, email officer Randall Hancock at rhancock@valdostacity.com.
