Madison Street Road Closure

ALBANY, Ga. – The 1100 block of N. Madison Street is closed between 5th Avenue and 4th Avenue for construction on the Combined Sewer Separation (CSS) project. Southbound traffic will follow the signed detour route around the construction site, using 5th Avenue, Rawson Drive, and 4th Avenue.

The EMS route using 5th Avenue to the Emergency Room will remain open.

Drivers should plan to take alternate routes or expect delays.

Large trucks should avoid the detour route due to the residential area.

Work is expected to last two weeks or until the work is complete.
