Americus First Methodist Church 13th Annual Home Run 5k and 1M Fun Run
AMERICUS, Ga. – Lace up those running shoes… Americus is hitting the pavement for a great cause!
The Home Run 5k and 1M Fun Run is set for Saturday, June 7th, all to support the Methodist Home for Children and Youth.
The event honors the memory of Jay Williams, a friend of the home. The Fun Run starts at 7:45, followed by the 5k at 8, beginning at Americus First Methodist Church and winding through the city’s historic neighborhoods.
Every dollar raised will benefit the Americus Campus of the Methodist Home. Runners can register online through June 1st, or on race day starting at 7:15 a.m. Each participant gets a t-shirt and snacks, and kids under 14 receive a finisher’s medal.
