Sumter Cycling, Sumter Co. Fire & Rescue, River Valley Regional Commission’s Annual Kids Bike Fest

AMERICUS, Ga. – In Americus, a free hands-on event is helping kids pedal toward safety.

The Annual Kids Bike Fest is rolling into the Walmart parking lot, offering a fun and educational morning for young riders. Children will get bike safety checks, learn how to properly wear helmets, and practice important on-bike safety skills.

After learning the basics, they’ll put their knowledge into action on a special skills course. Participants should bring their own bikes and helmets, though helmets will be provided for those without one.

The event is presented by Sumter County Fire & Rescue, Sumter Cycling, and the River Valley Regional Commission.

Pre-registration is encouraged to speed up check-in.
