Dougherty Co. EMA to Test Outdoor Warning System
ALBANY, Ga. – The Dougherty County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) will conduct a test of the Outdoor Warning System on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 9 a.m.
This is a routine test to ensure all sirens are functioning properly in the event of a real emergency, such as severe weather or other threats to public safety. Residents may hear sirens sounding for approximately one to two minutes. There is no cause for alarm.
These tests are part of our ongoing commitment to public safety and emergency preparedness. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
In the event of actual severe weather or an emergency, the test will be postponed to a later date.
