ACCG Welcomes New Leadership for 2025–2026
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Dougherty County District 3 Commissioner Clinton Johnson was sworn in as president of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG), along with other newly elected Board members, during the 2025 Annual Conference in Savannah on April 26. Johnson’s oath of office was administered during a special luncheon ceremony.
During his installation address, Johnson reflected on his upbringing and how his parents and grandparents instilled in him the values of servant leadership. He expressed gratitude to his supporters, the Dougherty County Board of Commissioners, the ACCG staff, and gave special thanks to his family members who attended the event. Johnson also emphasized the power of local leadership and community-driven solutions.
“I believe in custom solutions. And I believe in all of us together,” Johnson said. “This presidency isn’t about me. It’s about ‘Georgia First, 159 Strong.’ Let’s lead with courage, serve with integrity, and rise together to meet the moment. Let’s not be afraid to think big, to act boldly, to lead with conviction because Georgia is counting on us.”
ACCG, Georgia’s county association, works on behalf of county officials and their communities, advancing initiatives that strengthen all 159 counties across the state.
