Coffee Co. Sheriff’s Office to host ‘Braylon Strong’ Benefit Basketball Tournament raising funds for heart transplant recipient’s recovery

DOUGLAS, Ga. – The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a benefit basketball tournament on Saturday, April 26th.

After a seven year battle with heart complications, 14-year-old Braylon White, son of Lieutenant Anthony White, received a heart transplant at a hospital in Atlanta.

The Braylon Strong Benefit Basketball Tournament will help raise funds for the White family, with all proceeds going to Braylon’s recovery.

The sheriff’s office invites local police officers, sheriffs, firefighters, and 911 operators to form teams and participate in the tournament.

The tournament will begin at 10 am at the Coffee County-George Washington Carver Freshman Campus, with a team participation fee of $150, and an attendance fee of $5.
