Shooting in the 700 block of S. Shadowlawn Dr.

ALBANY, Ga. – On April 3, 2025, officers responded to the 700 block of S. Shadowlawn Dr in reference to a shooting around 11:30 P.M.

Upon arrival, officers located a male, Nicholas Nix (18), running in the 800 block of W Gordon. Victims at the location told officers that Nix was inside the residence when suspects shot at their house. Nix, chased the suspects and shot at them for defense. An additional four victims were inside the home when the shooting occurred. No injuries were reported. Officers were able to recover three firearms from Nix.

Nicholas Nix was arrested for an active simple battery warrant. He was taken to the Dougherty County Jail. Additional charges are pending.
