Phoebe Urgent Care Clinic now open in Camilla
CAMILLA, Ga. – Today is the opening day for the Phoebe Urgent Care Clinic in Camilla.
And… what makes this so significant is it’s the very first Urgent Care facility in the history of Mitchell county.
Phoebe has expanded its existing Primary Care facility by adding an Urgent Care Clinic, providing faster, more affordable treatment for non-emergency medical needs.
Urgent care centers offer a convenient alternative for those seeking immediate care for minor illnesses or injuries, without the long wait times or high costs of an ER visit.
“So, we understood the need of the community here in Camilla. That being said we knew the healthcare shortage here in Camilla. And, that sparked the attention to being this clinic to Camilla. What happens here with Urgent Care is we’re a step down unit from the emergency room. So, when you don’t want to accumulate the expenses of an ER visit, you come see us here at Urgent Care,” said Martavius Marcus, Director of Operations, Phoebe Physician Group.
Phoebe’s Urgent Care Clinic is designed for efficiency, featuring three full-time doctors and six exam rooms to diagnose and treat patients as quickly as possible.
For Camilla residents unfamiliar with urgent care services, these clinics handle a variety of minor medical needs.
“Anything related to your common cold, flu, seasonal allergies, by any means urgent care is your place to be. Anything that is minor such as small lacerations. If your kids fall off the bicycle. Anything that may require x-rays. We are capable of doing all that here at urgent care,” said Marcus.
The clinic is now officially open, but a ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 4 p.m. next Monday.
