GBI Obtains Arrest Warrants for Two Men in Brianna Long Murder Case in Remerton
REMERTON, Ga. – On Sunday, October 29, 2023, about 2:40 a.m., the GBI was originally requested by the Remerton Police Department to conduct an investigation regarding the homicide of Brianna Long and the aggravated assault on a male employee at The Pier Bar where the two were working that night when they were both shot. Long died as a result of her injuries, the male later recovered from his injuries. The Valdosta Police Department Crime Scene Unit processed the scene that morning at the request of Remerton Police.
GBI Agents and Remerton Police have been continuously working to solve this case and have identified two males who have been charged with Long’s murder. Warrants have been issued for their arrests, and both men are currently in custody on separate, unrelated cases. One is currently in custody in Georgia, and the other in the State of Florida. TSION CLAYTON (23 years old) and KIMONE GREEN (21 years old) both have been charged with one count each of malice murder. Both men are from Lowndes County, Georgia. Agents believe the men were in Remerton, Georgia that night looking for another individual related to an ongoing Gang dispute. Additional charges are expected in this case as it moves forward.
This case is active and ongoing and anyone with information on this case is asked to call the GBI Thomasville Office at 229-225-4090. Once complete, it will be turned over to the Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
