4 dogs in custody after attack injuries Albany woman

ALBANY, Ga. – In recent developments, the Albany Police Department (APD) provided an update on their response to an animal attack that left one person injured.

The incident occurred late Friday afternoon when officers were called to the 600 block of Holloway Drive, where a woman had been attacked by four dogs.

Police Chief Michael Persley shared details on the ongoing investigation during the department’s Monday briefing.

“All dogs were surrendered to animal control and they’re being reviewed now in reference to this bite case. They are and they are in the custody of the Albany Humane Society. And, then, once we get results back, we will then follow up and determine what should happen with those animals,” said Chief Michael Persley, APD.

Chief Persley could not provide an update on the victim’s condition at this time.
