Monster Truck Nitro Tour held at Albany Civic Center this weekend

ALBANY, Ga. – The Monster Truck Nitro Tour has come to Albany, Georgia for two events this past weekend.

But, it wasn’t just loud noises, crashes, and chaos. It was also a fun night for the family.

The excitement kicked off with a pit party, where families got up close and personal with the monster truck drivers, scoring their own flags for autographs.

Kids and parents alike were thrilled with the chance to climb aboard a monster truck for an unforgettable ride.

From the moment they entered the party, it was clear… This event was all about making lasting memories.

“Well, the best part of the job altogether is the kids. I get to see kids smiling all the time. If you work a regular job, you go to work. And, this attitude, that attitude, everything. This job is Godsend, because I can tell you, everybody that’s here is happy,” said Robert French, Monster Truck, driver.

Next came the main event, and it started with a bang!

The motocross riders soared through the air, performing impressive mid-air tricks that left the crowd in awe.

Then, the 10,000-pound monster trucks took center stage, tearing through laps and crushing cars in a thrilling freestyle display.

The crowd roared, screaming at the top of their lungs, making this an unforgettable experience like no other.

“You know, I can tell you, I’ve been doing it for 35 years, and you never get tired of it. It’s a rush. Like you never get from anything else. Feel like an airplane? Take it off. But, looking at the sky and I tell you, I love it more than anything,” said French.

Monster Truck Nitro will hit the road again next year, but up next in Albany is the action-packed Pro Rodeo coming this March.
