The 36th annual “Spirit of Christmas Parade and Festival” truly captured the heart of the holiday season, leaving memories to cherish for years to come.
“The parade is such a fun tradition for Lee County. Everybody who’s in it and comes out to it always has such a good time. It was 28 degrees this morning and the streets were still lined with people. It’s such a fun tradition. We do it every year. We’ve been doing it for over 36 years now, and the community just always rallies behind us. All of our businesses are so excited. Everybody goes over the top with their decorations and participation. It’s just a fun thing that we do every year and we really enjoy it. And, festival, we’ve got a DJ, we have food trucks, bouncy houses and other stuff for kids. It’s just a big festival with a bunch of vendors. So, if you have any last minute Christmas shopping or anything you have to do, you can get everything you need at the festival today,” said Jessica Zurheid, Director of Events, Lee Co. Chamber of Commerce.
