Crisp Co. Sheriff’s Office and Melody Godfrey Agency host annual “Light Up Pink” event for breast cancer awareness
CORDELE, Ga. – In other local news, the Melody Godfrey Agency and the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office teamed up to “Light Up Pink”, raising awareness for breast cancer and supporting those bravely battling the disease.
The event was a huge success, with over 100 attendees, making it the biggest “Light Up Pink” yet. Several cancer fighters were there, including Deputy First Class Melinda Davis from the Crisp County Sheriff’s Department, who shared her inspiring story as the guest speaker.
Guests had the chance to win prizes in a raffle, and everyone received a breast cancer-themed gift bag and desserts for their support.
Event organizers highlighted the importance of community in the fight against breast cancer, explaining how these gatherings help people connect, share stories, and support one another.
