Albany Technical College’s State of the College Address
ALBANY, Ga. – Albany Technical College highlights accomplishments and key priorities for the institution’s growth.
Dr. Emmett Griswold, President of Albany Tech, delivered the 2024 state of the college address, welcoming residents and providing a detailed overview of the college’s progress.
The address serves as a key communication tool for the institution, updating students, faculty, staff, and the broader community on the college’s accomplishments, challenges, and future goals.
In addition to men’s basketball team being crowned GCAA Division 1 regular season champions, the college has also celebrated significant academic achievements, including a 100% pass rate in multiple courses, new accreditations, and achievements in Skills USA competitions.
He also shared the graduation and job placement rates for the 2023-2024 academic year, emphasizing the growing number of first-generation students and providing insights into the college’s instructional methods and the enrollment of international students.
The address further included a report from the Albany Tech Foundation, which donated over $23,000 and awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships, demonstrating the college’s commitment to supporting students.
This annual address fosters transparency, accountability, and unity within the Albany Technical College community.
