Reese, sights like this uprooted tree here at North Isabella Street house in Sylvester are just the tip of the iceberg of the damage.
As Hurricane Helene has moved out of our area, crews are hard at work across our area, restoring power, and here in worth county just trying to clear out any damaged trees as you can see here.
Trucks have also been heading further east towards the more heavily impacted communities.
In fact, Tift county officials are still advising people to stay off of the roads today so that crews can get to where they need to be.
We’re still trying to reach out to Worth County’s Emergency Management Agency about impacts and outages. We hope to have an update for you this evening.
