Lennox, Heatcraft partner together for nonprofit Operation Warm

TIFTON, Ga. – Two dedicated teams join together with the shared goal of creating a positive and lasting impact in the community.

The Lennox Foundation and nonprofit Operation Warm have joined forces to ensure the youth of Tifton are well-prepared for the winter season.

“We are providing coats. We are working with our partner, Lennox to provide quotes for JT Reddick Elementary, for about 350 children. So, Operation Warm’s mission is to provide hope, confidence, and warmth through basic needs. Programs that address under-resourced children in the community,” said Nate Robinson, Operation Warm, program manager.

The Lennox Foundation and Operation Warm emphasize the crucial role their partnership has played in making this initiative a reality.

“Everybody that you see in the red shirts here today, we’re from Heatcraft in Tifton. We’re proud to have been a part of the local community for almost 50 years here in Tifton. Our parent company, Lennox, has a charitable foundation, the Lennox Foundation, that supports causes in the communities where we live and work, like what you see going on here today with operation warm. We’ve has more than more than 150 volunteers this week engaged in a variety of events here in Tifton. The one today, 35 folks here doing Operation Warm,” said John Jordan, Heatcraft, Human Resources Director.

“I would like to thank our great partner, Lennox, who is here. We have a five year relationship with them. In that relationship they have donated over 3500 coats to children in need,” said Robinson.

For many years, Operation Warm has been dedicated to donating winter coats to children in need throughout the United States.

“We are happy to report that we donated a million coats last year. We’re continuing to grow on that year after year. We are in every state and even parts of Canada. We are in almost every community in the united state providing coats. We are working on 25 years right now. We’ve donated over six million coats,” said Robinson.

Both organizations’ ongoing efforts have supported countless families, making sure children have the essentials they need for success.

“No child wants to go to school feeling cold, feeling left out, feeling like they are not prepared to learn and to have success in school. Providing coats and the way we do it, by providing it to the whole school. So, we’re leveling the playing field where every child can feel like, “wow, I have what I need, or at least one part of what I need to have success today.” So, that is why we are here today, and we are happy to do it,” said Robinson.
